Boiling Springs Band Booster
Minutes of May 27, 2010 Meeting
- The meeting was called to order by Deby Lefin at 7:05.
- Motion to approve the minutes of March 16, 2010 as posted on the web site moved by: Laurie Fitzgerald. Seconded by: Sherry Snyder. Motion passed unanimously.
- Christy Pasquariello presented the treasurer report. The Boosters made $264 on the Jazz Festival. Laurie Fitzgerald made the motion to accept the treasurer report, Pam Martin seconded. Motion passed by unanimous vote.
- Uniforms - New uniforms were ordered. A group will be organized to give out uniforms in August and to identify new care procedures.
- Chaperones – Janice Wiss will take over the chairmanship of this committee.
- Fundraising:
-A motion was made by Laurie Fitzgerald to use R&K Subs (www.randksubs.com) to supply sandwiches for next year’s sale. Seconded by Pam Martin. Motion passed unanimously.
-Grocery cards – a new process will be developed to manage the cards in multiple locations. Deby Lefin will address.
-Car Wash – M&T Bank has offered their site for a car wash. Dennis McMahon will arrange a date. Target dates are 8/21 and 8/28.
-Maryann Murtoff will order band mugs for August delivery.
-Allenberry fundraiser is ongoing. 50% of a purchase of a gift card from Allenberry will go to the band. Mary Ann Murtoff can be contacted at 258-3211.
-Concession Stand at Football Games: we will sell turf, mugs, Allenberry gift cards and grocery cards. Dennis will get prices for tee shirts & polo shirts to sell.
-Chili’s – there will be a 10% Tuesday Fundraiser at Chili’s on 9/21 or 9/28. Flyers will be handed out at football games.
- Reorganization: the following officers were elected for 2010-2011 school year:
- President: Maryann Murtoff
- Vice President: Susan Meyers
- Secretary: Kathleen Fulfer
- Treasurer: Christy Pasquariello
- Directors Report:
-Summer lesson schedule is almost ready.
-Band camp will begin August 9. A schedule will be mailed home.
- Band Trip – Trip is scheduled for April 28, 2011. Destination to be determined. It is time for all band members to participate in fundraising in order to be able to offset cost.
- Band Camp will start the week of August 9. Mr. Kenyon will send out details before the end of the school year.
- Web stats were provided by Dennis McMahon. The stats show increasing use of the site. We will continue to populate the site and encourage our members to visit.
